Here are all the times that six packs have played a memorable role in my life: at college parties and house parties and movie nights with my roommates. At dinner parties, sometimes, and picnics in Prospect Park, covertly. The night my best friend Sarah had her first sip of alcohol, at the age of 20, sitting on our dorm room floor, and then her first bottle of beer, and her second, in quick succession. The occasional miserable Tuesday.
I like a hazy IPA as much as the next person, but Gamma is cleaner, sharper, absent of any clagginess, and therefore exceptionally refreshing. After polishing off the first in 20 minutes, I open a second can and drink it in thirsty gulps. Here is a beer that can be enjoyed without preamble, without any preciousness or fussing, which makes it a perfect candidate for six-pack-style boozing.
The brewing process begins with malted barley which is added to hot water, releasing its sugars. Oats, rye, or wheat can also be added at the stage to create different flavour beers. This process is called mashing, and once the sugars are released hops are added to the mixture.

The new brewery has an annual capacity of 500,000 hl and costed GBP 40 million (USD 53 million), a money which was raised by selling a 49% stake to Heineken in June 2018. Many consumers rejected the move because they were apparently intrigued by the anarchic appearance of Beavertown which did not fit with a well-established partner like the Dutch brewing giant (inside.beer, 26.5.2018).
The brewery, was founded in 2011 by Logan Plant, the son of Robert Plant, singer with Led Zeppelin. The successful venture fastly expanded and outgrew its brewery site in Tottenham. As a consequence Beavertown transferred part of the production to Brouwerij De Brabandere in Belgium and to fellow brewery Redchurch in London, and made plans for a bigger brewery nearby (inside.beer, 26.5.2018).
But it gave me confidence to go after that, and to sing out loud even. So we got home and started to build this this band, and this studio in a barn in the middle of nowhere. We had some amazing times.

This is where the laser hits you: Aromas of tropical fruits like mango, passion fruit or pineapple hit like a bomb. Add to that intense notes of grapefruit and a slight bitterness reminiscent of citrus zest. You won't want to miss this Everyday Ale.
The hops are not only added to the beer at the end of the boil, but it is cold-hopped with large amounts of American aroma hops. This gives the beer its irresistible aroma! The Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo varieties are largely responsible for this.
Craft beer inspires! And Beavertwon's Gamma Ray has influenced countless people since its release in 2011. Beavertown will also benefit from the Heineken's depth of expertise and industry knowledge.
Corporate partner Mark Spinner, who led the deal for Osborne Clarke, said: "Craft beer is here to stay. This deal signals not only the continuing growth of the craft beer market, but it means more consumers will have access to sample and explore high-quality UK craft beer globally".
Commenting on Osborne Clarke's support on the transaction, Logan Plant, Founder and Chief Executive of Beavertown, said: "The team at Osborne Clarke have been brilliant, really impressive throughout all negotiations. I would like to thank them for being in our corner. I truly believe this is a defining moment not only for Beavertown but for the beer industry at large."

So if you truly want to support craft beer, look beyond the beers you can pick up in your local supermarket. Visit your local independent bottle shop or craft beer bar, seek out those little breweries and drink their beer.
We're so excited to share with everyone our 2017 FWIBF collaboration beer! This year we partnered with our friends at Beavertown Brewery & brewed an IPL named West Side Beavo, a nod to both Beavertown & our own Pivo pilsner, a hoppy beer in the lager family.
Beavertown Brewery were set up in 2011 by Logan Plant, son of Led Zeppelin rockstar god Robert Plant. What started out as experiments in home brewing involving rice cookers, cool boxes and tea urns as equipment, soon moved into the kitchen of a BBQ restaurant/brew pub venture in Hackney. Here the brewery continued experimenting with their beers, mainly producing twists on the IPA style, but also brewing a bitter based on the West Midlands style, named Neck Oil, which has arguably become their most popular offering.
Fast forward a few years and the Beavertown Brewery now hosts a wildly popular taproom in Tottenham, north London. There are also plans to install a microbrewery and additional taproom inside the new Tottenham Hotspur football stadium, in a craft beer first for premiership football.
Something that sets the brewery apart from most others is that it has a strict can-only policy for the beer it brews. This decision was made to better protect the beer and save on transportation and recycling costs.
Another lesser-known yet highly recommended Beavertown beer is Dame Melba Phantom, a bold peach and raspberry Berliner Weisse. Unlike Gamma Ray, this one is brewed without hops, which results in very little bitterness but lets the juicy peach and sharp Scottish raspberry flavours take centre stage. 041b061a72
