Blair is far from pleased that her BFF is now getting all the attention - from the clique at school and from the celebrity gossip magazines, which actually ran a picture of S and some girl named Poppy Lifton. But what really sets Blair off is a seating chart.

"The Serena Also Rises" is the fifth episode of the second season of the American teen drama television series Gossip Girl, which originally aired on The CW on September 29, 2008.[1] The episode was written by Jessica Queller and directed by Patrick Norris.

As we wait for the premiere, we're taking a look back on the six original seasons, in all its high-society New York glory. Here are the best episodes of Gossip Girl, to catch up on while you wait for the remake.

SPOILERS about the Gossip Girl reboot season 2 episode 6 ahead.Michelle Trachtenberg's Georgina Sparks' return in the Gossip Girl reboot season 2 episode 6 coincides with her trying to ruin a wedding, rehashing a similar original Gossip Girl storyline. Appearing in every Gossip Girl season, Georgina earned the moniker agent of chaos, as every time she was involved in some plot, it was either to discredit Blair, Serena, Chuck, Nate, or Dan or somewhat help them to vanish another bigger foe. However, while Georgina's grievances with the original Gossip Girl protagonists gave her reasons to pursue them, the Gossip Girl reboot season 2 episode 6, "How to Bury a Millionaire," sees Georgina go after targets seemingly unknown to her.

Trying to destroy a wedding isn't new to Georgina, as she attempted both in season 3 with Rufus and Lily's wedding, and most importantly, succeeded in doing so in Gossip Girl season 5 episode 13 with Blair and Louis Grimaldi's royal wedding. However, while she took the video of Blair confessing her feelings to Chuck, she wasn't the one sending it to Gossip Girl, making her ultimately the person that consistently tried to ruin Blair's royal wedding but didn't pull the trigger. Proving yet again how the original Gossip Girl was meaner than the reboot, Georgina still had a hand in the publication, though, being revealed as GG right after.

Although Louis and Blair's royal wedding eventually happened despite the drama, Gossip Girl season 5 episode 13 quickly revealed that it couldn't have worked, as Louis decided to trap Blair into the contract not to be further humiliated. Louis' mother Sophie's controlling ways, Blair's everlasting love for Chuck, and Louis' turn into a villainous figure made sure of that. Still, Georgina had her fun as an agent of chaos in Gossip Girl season 5, episode 13, succeeding both in gathering evidence to ruin the event and effectively doing so by publishing it as Gossip Girl, given she had access to the blog at the time.

Georgina succeeds in stopping Max's fathers' big vow renewal event in the Gossip Girl reboot season 2, episode 6. However, hers and Kate's chaos don't stop the ceremony, which still happens at Gideon, Roy, and Max's house. The reason for Georgina being unsuccessful could be attributed to the fact that it was just a test to see if Kate could make Gossip Girl's Instagram page great in the way Georgina imagined it. However, it's also to do with the fact that Gideon and Roy already had a stable relationship, making their vow renewal ceremony just an event that could be rescheduled elsewhere without impacting their relationship.

Similarly, Georgina dropped a truth bomb during Rufus and Lily's wedding in Gossip Girl season 3 episode 5 to get back at Dan, but in that case, the event also went through. Just like Georgina's ploy in the Gossip Girl reboot, season 2 ends up causing chaos without damaging relationships, telling everybody that Rufus and Lily's long-lost love child was alive only made Rufus and Lily's wedding happen later. This suggests that Georgina's targets were never Max's fathers, but instead making Kate into her most chaotic version of Gossip Girl possible, letting Gossip Girl's persona shine again in the Gossip Girl reboot season 2.

This week's episode wasn't as awful as last week's bland installment, but only because the show threw an incomprehensible stream of plot twists at us to distract from its overall ridiculousness. To channel Cher Horowitz for a moment, as if Sage would be able to get the drop on Georgina, hijack a video projector or manipulate Blair. The girl can't even properly emote her way through a sentence, let alone pull off a master scheme that would leave the Upper East Side's two master manipulators in the dust.
